We installed AMSOIL 5W-40 Synthetic Metric Motorcycle Oil in a BMW R 1250 GS* and rode it aggressively on pavement and dirt. Then we strapped it to our dyno and pushed the engine to its limit. After 12,000 miles, twice the recommended drain interval, we tore the bike down and inspected the engine and transmission components for wear.
